Prairie Sand Rug
Prairie Sand is a hand-knotted wool Tibetan carpet. Like the Prairie rug, Prairie Sand is inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and his Prairie School of Architecture. This prairie style rug is designed to look like a stained glass window and is color in a pallet that is reminiscent of the stained glass from the Arts and Crafts era. Most of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stained glass windows were considered by him to be abstracts of nature allowing light in to illuminate and enhance the building’s interior. It is our desire that the Prairie Sand rug has the same effect of bringing light and beauty into any room it graces. Woven by Nepalese weavers using wool from the Tibetan Highland Sheep, this carpet with last many lifetimes to be enjoyed by generations to come.
