RU-1240 Prairie is a hand-knotted wool Tibetan carpet. Inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and his Prairie School of Architecture. The prairie style rugs are designed to look like stained glass window and colored in a palette reminiscent of the stained glass of the Arts and Crafts era. Most of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stained glass windows were considered abstract of nature allowing light to enter, enhance and become part of the building that it graced. Hand-knotted by Nepalese weavers using wool from Himalayan Highland sheep, this carpet will last many lifetimes to be enjoyed by generations to come.
